Each inkjet and toner cartridge must pass a multi-step process including an electronic circuit test before it is considered OPRA approved. Below is an example of OPRA's inspection criteria. Inkjet: HP 51626A / 51633M Purpose: Virgin: not previously remanufactured
Inspection Procedures Identify if core is virgin or non-virgin as follows: A. If any stickers
appear on cartridge beside OEM Identify if cartridge is damaged as follows: C. Perform an
electronic test on inkjet circuitry a. Bubbled E. Damage to plastic core a. Cracked plastic case F. Damage to head or nozzle plate a. Deep scratches in head
Toner Cartridge: HP C8061X / A Purpose: Virgin: not previously remanufactured
Inspection Procedures Identify if core is virgin or non-virgin as follows: A. If any stickers appear
on cartridge beside OEM Identify if cartridge is classified as damaged: D. Inspect and test shutter
lever for damage and proper operation.
