We take pride in our inspection procedures to make sure we are delivering only the best products to your door. Each inkjet and toner cartridge must pass a multi-step process including an electronic circuit test before it is considered OPRA approved. Below is an example of OPRA's inspection criteria.

Inkjet: HP 51626A / 51633M

Purpose:
To identify and classify each cartridge through a series of visual inspections and tests.
Cartridges will be classified as either:

Virgin: not previously remanufactured
Non-virgin: previously remanufactured
Damaged/Failed Circuitry: not usable, scrap

Inspection Procedures

Identify if core is virgin or non-virgin as follows:

A. If any stickers appear on cartridge beside OEM
B. If there are drill holes or glue around cap of cartridge

Identify if cartridge is damaged as follows:

C. Perform an electronic test on inkjet circuitry
D. Check for a damaged circuit strip or flex tape

a. Bubbled
b. Peeling from ends
c. Discolored or ink appears under flex tape

E. Damage to plastic core

a. Cracked plastic case
b. Damaged or broken hold-down bracket
c. Excessive scratches on plastic core

F. Damage to head or nozzle plate

a. Deep scratches in head
b. Holes appear in head
c. Head plate missing

Toner Cartridge: HP C8061X / A

Purpose:
To identify and classify each cartridge through a series of visual inspections and tests.
Cartridges will be classified as either:

Virgin: not previously remanufactured
Non-virgin: previously remanufactured
Broken: Not usable, scrap

Inspection Procedures

Identify if core is virgin or non-virgin as follows:

A. If any stickers appear on cartridge beside OEM
B. Inspect for clips or glue on rail above large shutter which would indicate remanufactured.
C. Inspect for tampering on all screws and pins.

Identify if cartridge is classified as damaged:

D. Inspect and test shutter lever for damage and proper operation.
E. Inspect for broken or missing parts.
F. Inspect for excess scratches on cartridge.
G. Inspect for ground in dirt which would require in-depth cleaning.
H. Inspect for any structure cracks.
I. Inspect for any excess writing with marker or white out.
